LivePix ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the LivePix app and how we handle it.

1. Data we collect

• Photos you upload — the images you choose to animate or to enhance/restore. A photo may contain a human face. We process the image only to generate your animated video or your enhanced photo. We do not perform facial recognition, do not create or store any faceprint, face template, or facial-geometry map, and do not use any face to identify, authenticate, or track you.
• Generated media — the animated video clips and the enhanced/restored images produced from your photos.
• Anonymous device identifier — a random ID generated on your device to maintain your account and credit balance. We do not require your name, email, or phone number.
• Purchase data — records of in-app credit purchases (handled by Apple; we receive transaction identifiers, not your payment details).
• Basic usage/diagnostics — minimal logs needed to operate the service.

2. Face data (biometric data)

• LivePix does not collect biometric or face-recognition data. We do not build faceprints, facial templates, facial-geometry meshes, or any biometric identifier.
• When your selected photo contains a face, that face is part of the image only. The image is sent to our third-party AI provider solely to generate an animated video or an enhanced photo from it. No facial features are extracted, measured, analyzed, indexed, or retained as biometric data.
• We never use any face to recognize, identify, verify, or track a person.

3. How we use your data

• To generate the videos and enhanced photos you request and manage your credit balance.
• To moderate uploaded content for safety and legal compliance.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sharing with third-party AI and service providers

Before your photo is sent for processing, the app discloses this in-app and asks for your permission. To provide the service, your uploaded photo and/or generated media may be processed by: - fal.ai — runs the AI processing: video animation and photo enhancement/restoration/colorization, using various AI models (for example, Kling (Kuaishou) for video animation, and image upscaling/restoration/colorization models for the photo tools). Your image may be processed on infrastructure outside the EU, including in China. fal.ai processes the image to produce the requested result and does not use it to identify you. By using the app and granting in-app consent, you agree to this sharing and international transfer. - Cloudflare R2 — storage of media. - Sightengine — automated content moderation. - Railway — application hosting. - Apple — payment processing for in-app purchases.

We require these providers to protect your data and to use it only to perform their service for us.

5. Data retention

• Input photos are deleted shortly after processing (within 24 hours).
• Generated videos and enhanced images are retained for up to 30 days, then deleted. Save the ones you want to keep to your device.
• We do not create or retain any biometric/face data at any point.
• Account records (anonymous ID, credit ledger) are kept while your account is active.

6. Your rights and account deletion

• Delete your account and data at any time from the app (Settings → Delete Account). This immediately deletes your generation history and all associated media from our storage.
• After deletion we retain only: a one-way hash of your anonymous device identifier (to prevent abuse of the free welcome credits, which are granted once per device) and the credit balance linked to that anonymous identifier (so purchases are preserved if you return). These contain no name, email, photos, or other personal content.
• If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights to access, rectify, and erase your data (GDPR). Contact support@livepix.video.

7. Children

LivePix is not intended for children. We do not knowingly allow content involving minors and reject such uploads. Minimum age: 17+.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the app and by updating the date above.
